MCA - Malta Numbering plan last-minute update
As of writing this newsletter on Friday 13th February, we detected a last minute update from Malta with their national numbering allocations. We haven't had chance to take this update in for this update, however if NOCs would like to manually check their Maltese numbering, the Maltese regulator, MCA, has announced new M2M/IoT ranges allocated to Melita.

ITU E.164 meeting update
We attended the United Nation's ITU SG2 meeting this week in Switzerland to meet nation state members, discuss updating of the E.164 documentation, and promote the benefits of timely updates to national numbering plans from regulators. The group discussed a number of applications for shared-country numbering prefixes, new MCCMNC allocations and the use of E.164 numbering by Over The Top (OTT) providers. We will have a bit more commentary on this in next week's newsletter, once the meeting has officially finalised.
