MSRN detection problems
Well.. the Mobile Subscriber Roaming Number detection that we told you about last week did cause some issues. It turns out we can't trust that Mobile Network Operators stick to their own rules for MSRN ranges.
Users complained to our support team (support@e164.com) that we detected some MSISDN numbers as being of type MSRN. We looked into it, and found that some networks have been allocating MSISDNs in ranges the network thinks are only for MSRNs (we're looking at your Vodafone Romania....).
We have alerted the known offender networks via their technical support email, but the MNOs are at no obligation to respond to us - hopefully they will update their official documentation with more tightly defined MSRN ranges.
We have left MSRN detection in the e164 data, but please treat this as "possible MSRN" instead of "definitely MSRN".
